The Gospel: the triumphant declaration that God, holy and righteous, is redeeming the world through Christ (Matt 1:21; Luke 1:68; Eph 1:7; Col 1:20), calling everyone everywhere to repent from sin and trust Jesus Christ for salvation (Mark 1:15; Acts 2:38; 17:30).
Simple enough, right? Yet in our country today, the gospel of Jesus Christ is gradually being misrepresented, misunderstood, and marginalised in many churches and among those who proclaim the name of Christ.
In order to be credible and effective witnesses for Christ in New Zealand, we desperately need a reminder of why the centrality of the Gospel and Scripture itself is so important. As Christians today, we need to STAND for the Gospel.
At STAND 2010, you will be exhorted to stand firm in the centrality and sufficiency of God’s Word. You will be tasked to stand firm in the centrality of the Gospel. You will be called to stand firm in a high view of God in evangelism, in worship and in personal discipline. Most importantly, you will be challenged to apply the Gospel to every facet of your Christian life: in work, in marriage, in parenting, in singleness, and in family.
As a result of this special weekend, we pray, you will be emboldened to STAND for the Gospel. We look forward to seeing you here!

Travel and Lodging
Auckland is served by Auckland International Airport, about 45 minutes drive from the suburb of Howick.
All STAND 2010 conference sessions will be held at Howick Baptist Church (click for location).
Participants are responsible for their own accommodation. Limited airport transfers and lodging arrangements may be available for those genuinely unable to make their own arrangements – please contact the conference organiser (stand@howickbaptist.org.nz).
Meals
Dinner will be provided on Saturday evening, prior to Session 3.
No other meals will be provided on-site. There are a number of cafés and restaurants in Howick Village, within walking distance from the conference.
Conference Book Stall
Denys Tomaselli from ‘Gracebooks NZ’ (www.gracebooks.co.nz) will have a conference stand with a range of trustworthy Bibles, books, CDs and DVDs for your church and personal library.
