The goal of the worship ministry is to glorify God by leading and enabling Christ-centered worship when we gather.
We’re a group of redeemed sinners who love serving our church family during Sunday gatherings. We recognise that our gifts are a result of God’s grace towards us, so in gratitude we seek to serve the rest of the church by encouraging and modelling the worship of God through Jesus Christ (find out what to expect during our services).

Audiovisual (AV) Team
“Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together!”Psalm 34:3
AV operators serve the church in a variety of ways, such as running video equipment, playing visual aids, controlling song lyrics, and preparing recorded messages. In this they they help to magnify the proclamation of God’s Word for the HBC church family and friends around the world.
You may enjoy serving in this team if you like to: work with computers and gadgets, serve behind the scenes, problem-solve
Bible Reading Team
“Devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture…” 1 Tim 4:13a
When passages from the Holy Scriptures are read as part of our gathered worship, we hear from God through his living Word. Our Bible readers serve by confidently reading God’s Word for the benefit of the gathered church.
You may enjoy serving in this team if you: love to read or enjoy speaking in public
“Sing the glory of His name; give to him glorious praise!” Ps 66:2
Musicians at HBC strive to “let the message of Christ dwell among [the church] richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit” (Col. 3:16). Each musician is in some sense a “lead worshipper” as they model and encourage the gathered church to worship God through Christ. A few leaders are also given the added responsibility of planning the shape of, and leading gathered worship services.
You may enjoy serving in this team if you can: sing or play an instrument and enjoy serving with others
“Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight…” Mark 1:3
The sound ministry at HBC exists to enable church events to proclaim the gospel audibly, clearly and without distraction. Those who serve as sound technicians enable church events to proclaim the gospel clearly by setting up audio equipment, managing soundboards, and providing recorded messages.
