Don Armstrong - frame

On Sunday 9 March 2014, our brother Donald Noel Armstrong, aged 82 years, was promoted to Glory following a short battle with brain cancer. We rejoice that he has entered into the presence of his Lord and now sees his Saviour face to face.

Don was a precious husband, lover, companion and best friend of Clarice for 61 years. Dearly loved and respected father of Geoff, Mark and Diane, Dean, Vicki and Bruce. Treasured and much loved Grandad of Klayton, Lisa, Sarah, Tamzyn, Ashley, Leah, Oliver, Mason and Julian. Specially loved and loving Great-Grandad of Ayjah, Deighton and Blaze, Riley and Chelsea.

Don was faithful servant of Christ and member of Howick Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was the church’s principal organist since 1962, a leader in the 1st Howick Boys’ Brigade for several years, involved in countless ministries and areas of service, and served as a transitional Elder from 2006-2008.

Don’s going home service will be on Monday 17 March at 1pm, held at Howick Baptist Church.

Extra car parking will be available at the Howick RSA (25 Welllngton St).

Sad to hear today of Don’s passing. My sympathy to Clarice and family. My Anne always liked it when she played the piano with Don on the organ.
