Membership
Why join a local church?
Some people say they’re content to “just be Christians”, not linked to any church. This is not the teaching of the New Testament. Joining and belonging to a church is not optional. In Acts, we see people converted to Christ then being “added to the church” (Acts 2:41-42, 46-47)

The church isn’t just a club. It’s the people of God, the body of Christ, the community of the Holy Spirit. According to the New Testament, it is a glorious church. Jesus loved it and gave himself for it (Eph 5:25-27). It’s glorious not because it’s perfect but because it belongs to Christ who is continuing to protect it, build it and use it.

Baptism
What is Baptism?
Baptism is a symbol of beginning the Christian life. Baptism is the full immersion in water and the bringing back up again of a Believer who has made a profession of faith in Christ and has shown evidence that they have a living relationship with Christ. Baptism is a public statement that the Believer has died to their old nature and way of living, and has been given 'new birth' and a new way of living by God through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Who should be baptised?
Only those Believers who give a believable profession of faith and show practical evidence of their belief and obedience to Christ.
How can I be baptised?
- Register your interest to be baptised by completing and submitting the yellow 'Welcome' card, found in the church pews.
- Speak to either one of the elders / pastors.
An interview will be held with you, after which a date for a baptism will be arranged.
